Boundaries
and
Confidentiality
Safety and clarity are preconditions for any therapeutic process. This means that the privacy of your treatment experience, and the pillars of our therapeutic agreement are held as Sacred and must be crystal clear.
Here is a breakdown of the boundaries and agreements that define our healing space.
Treatment Agreements
Energy Exchange Prompt payment is expected prior to or immediately after every treatment
Time We respect the scheduled start and end times for treatments. If either one of us needs to adjust, we communicate clearly as far in advance as possible. My cancellation policy is outlined on the intake form linked to the left.
Communication We clarify until we are both satisfied that we both understand.
Sexual Misconduct There is nothing sexual about my client relationships, ever, in any way. Sexual or erotic touch, words, or suggestion are not welcome in my clinic, and are harmful and destabilizing to the safety of the container. This boundary binds and protects both therapist and client.
Client Agency Session time is for your goals and wellness, and nothing occurs without your willingness and consent. You always have the option to direct or end the session as you feel you need. You get to receive—but you also understand your responsibility to speak up and advocate if the session is not meeting your needs.
Scope of Practice I do not offer or practice techniques I am not qualified to perform. If your needs go beyond my scope, I will do my best to make an appropriate referral.
Confidentiality
Your therapeutic process is private. Everything you share in treatment is confidential, and you have full control over how, when, and with whom any details of our work is shared.
Collaboration with other therapists and coaches across modalities is not uncommon, but requires written consent to cross-report on progress.
